Team Background

My team's methodology towards working on our design project was having weekly project meetings that focused on establishing our weekly goals that would most effectively lead to completing our project deliverables. Our weekly meetings started with a general recap of what we discussed at the previous meeting and then we went on to talk about the action items we set for ourselves the week before. Our team utilized Miro for all of our meetings and many of our individual tasks. Miro allowed us to plan and run meetings effectively through the use of a meeting notes template. I believe that when compared to other groups, our project management approach was more organized through our use of Miro and different decision making resources.

My role the team became the project manager. This project was created as apart of the 3D Printing Working Group which is a group run through Dr. Owlenik in the UB Design Studio and SEAS. I gathered members from our group to join this project when it was just starting out. Afterwards colleagues who were also in MAE 451 reached out and asked to join the group and the project. I managed a group of 10 students, with 6 of our members taking MAE 451. My responsibilities involved planning and leading general meetings within our group and also our project sponsors, organizing our project documentation and keeping the group on track with our due dates.
